“On Monday, August 29, 2005, Louisiana was destroyed by Hurricane Katrina. This is the beginning of the disaster that has been called the worst natural disaster in modern American history. Katrina affected a huge area over 90,000 square miles. Local infrastructure destroyed and millions of people had their lives thrown into disarray.
TranLogistics was called to duty by Global Deployed Services as a subcontractor to support FEMA in providing a team of dedicated drivers and 50 trucks for the rescue. With just one phone call, TL’s team rally up their nationwide team of dedicated team drivers and trucks in a few hours to provide support on a very time constraint mission. The team operated and dispatched their drivers to all designated points as instructed with time specific to pickup equipments and transport to a dedicated relief site.
